seating at La Ronde for fireworks in Montreal

Any idea how far in advance the tickets go on sale for this event? I realize we're about 10 months out at this point, but I don't want to miss out! Thanks.

There is a website for that event. You can Google to find it. Join up for their news alerts and you'll be notified the minute tickets go on sale. I bought mine the first day on sale and ended up with a front row seat.

Hey crazy4hawaii,

I am hoping that they have rearranged the seating since the last time i was there (about 9yrs ago) because i had to be rushed to the hospital when a burning hot piece of charcoal or something fell into my eye and practically blinded me! It was awful, people were shaking the pieces out of their hair, getting tiny burns on exposed parts of their body...the pieces were falling everywhere. I don't want to discourage you, the show is beautiful and maybe the wind was blowing in the wrong direction that evening or something but i would never sit that close again, i now watch from the Old Port are, at a more than safe distance.

I am not the type to complain or exaggerate, and I live in Montreal and LOVE the place to death, but that was not a pleasant experience for me at all and I thought I would share it with u.

Enjoy your stay in Montreal!!

Layla

virginiaomatic - I'll sign up for the news alerts. Do you remember about how many months in advance the tickets went on sale?

aucho53 - OUCH! That reminds me of the time I watched Tinkerbell fly out of the castle at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World while they were shooting off fireworks and got a ton of something in my eyes! Kinda took the magic away...

I wonder if any of the hotels have rooms with balconies from which you can watch the fireworks? That might be kind of nice as well...
