Salt Spring Accommodations

What would you recommend for a place to stay in Salt Spring in August? We would love a place with a water view if possible.

Are you looking for a resort-type place, rental cottage, B&B - ??

We will be there for 3 nights. We would really love a cottage/cabin on or overlooking the water. I found one, but it was booked during the time we will be there. B&B's would be our second choice, preferably with water views. Hastings House looks very nice, but seems a bit esxpensive.

Hastings House is somewhat overpriced, in my opinion. Did you look at www.saltspringmarket.com? They have a good list of accommodations. It's been a couple of years since we've stayed there, other than 2 nights at the Sea Breeze Inn, which was pleasant but not waterfront. I can't make a specific recommendation but that website is reputable.

A friend stayed at this property (http://www.saltspringrealestate.com/haven.html) and loved it. They live in the Vancouver area and she heard about it from friends up there. It looks very nice!

There are also a number of small resorts on the 2 largest lakes-St Mary & Cusheon.
