Does anyone know of good lodging near the water in Saugatuck, MI.....

Hi, I am taking my two little girls on a girls weekend to Saugatuck in May and was wondering if anyone has found any fun, reasonable condos or hotels near Lake Michigan we could look into. We like the beach, hiking, exploring, shopping, walking, relaxing etc. It may be too cool for swimming I am sure mid May but on or near the water and sand is still fun. I have found several possibilities on vrbo.

I'm not sure if they allow kids, but the Kingsley House is beautiful, but not right on the water.

thanks cd, I will check it out. I am leaning towards private condo or home so was inquiring if anyone had rented any such out there recently. Cheaper and bigger than a motel usually.

Ship N Shore Motel is a good bet. It is on the water with a large dock and deck but no beach. The month of May may be too cold for swimming at a local beach especially for two young girls. However, the Ship N Shore is close to shopping and other Saugertuck attractions.
