RVing - Manitoba to Toronto
Wanting to go back to our hometown in Ontario, and thinking we may drive. Then the thought came to rent an RV, take the dog along, and not need dog-friendly hotels nor accomodation when we got to relatives house. (right now sounds like the answer to a lot of problems)
Anyone done an RV trip from Winnipeg to Toronto? Any RVing advice? Trip route input?

Where you go depends on the time of year and where you want to allocate the days you have. If thre is time to relax as you travel, stop in the Whiteshell in manitoba (Falcon or Westhawk Lake campgrounds), or bettr yet take extra time at Kenoa for Lak of the Woods. We preferr Rushing River Provincial park just past Kenora (book early) or Blue lake - a little further along the transcanada. Perhpas some Ontario types can take over with the trip to Thunder Bay and on. We often just cut through the states as it used to be much faster and cheaper on gass. Stop off at the manitoba borders- they have fresh coffee and a place for the dog to run.

That would be the thread titled:
"What are some sights worth seeing between Ontario and Alberta on the Trans Canda Highway"
There are some good ideas for the Manitoba/Ontario portion of the journey.
