Just returned from Quebec, Montreal & Ottawa. We had a fabulous time learning about Canada in those cities, eating and drinking at outdoor cafes, and seeing various museums and appreciating the architecture, old buildings, history, taking river cruises, etc.

I would especially like to say that we found the people in all three cities exceptionally friendly and accomodating. We tried a smattering of French which was almost always greeted in return with English (probably because we abused the language so badly, that it was more than obvious that it was not our native tongue!) We really can't say enough about how nice everyone was, and so many of them went out of their way to come up with all of the words in English if at first they didn't quite know how to answer our questions.

Thank you to all of the Canadians who made our trip so worthwhile. Maybe the fact that we had our 2 daughters with us, ages 4 & 1 1/2 helped! Small children soften hearts easily.

Far and beyond most canadiens are super friendly. When in Montreal go to Pub Mckibbons, you are sure to meet many people from all over, hear great music and maybe even dance. Say hello to Dean Laderoute (one of the owners)!
