Restaurant at Niagara Falls ideas

Hello
We will be driving from Toronto to Niagara falls for the day and it will be on my birthday. Our family of four are renting a car to have a "go as we please" type of day. We will be casually dressed and would like to go out to dinner in the area before heading back to Toronto. Ideas? Italian is my favorite, but I also love steak houses. View and ambiance are second to GOOD FOOD. Kids are 11 and 13 and very mature eaters.

We will only be in the area for the day, but are more than willing to drive around a bit if needed.

Thank you for any suggestions.
VIv

the best steakhouse and Italian are at the Casino, but your kids are too young to get in... a good fallback would be The Keg at the top of the Embassy Suites Hotel... casual, decent chain steakhouse with a fabulous view... you could easily include that with your falls viewing and a walk around... most of the restaurants around the Falls area are not worth it and tend to be tourist traps, but the Keg is good...

Sorry, I do no live in Toronto.. but here in New England, some of my early spring bulbs have been pushed up early with the warm weather we had last week... I will love to see the tulips up!

We will be visiting Toronto and renting a car to drive there sadly for just the day. I have never seen Niagara Falls and will be happy to see if with my own eyes, even if for just one day.

cheers!

One day is fine for NF. Are you flying to Toronto?

Yes we are, flying into Toronto.

I just posted a question about the best use of "one day" for NF if you don't mind taking a peak
thank you!
