Renaissance (SkyDome) hotel Toronto - any recent experiences

Stayed there about 10 years ago; now going in September for Red Sox-Blue Jays games. Cost is about $210/night for that weekend. Or any other hotel suggestions for a little less within walking distance from stadium

I prefer the Intercontinental on Front Street, but you have to check the rates... This hotel puts you closer to the Entertainment district and a bit farther from the game day mess... its a great location... go SOX!

You might also want to look at the Holiday Inn on King Street. At most a 10 minute walk to stadium, and well located in the entertainment district. The have some special promotions.

Hi gail,

I just stayed at the Renaissance on March 10th. I really liked it. Very clean and every person we dealt with from the front desk to room service was super friendly.

I got the room for $70 on priceline.com.

Other hotels within walking distance of the dome are the downtown Novotel, the Strathcona, the Fairmont Royal York (expensive) and the Suites at 1 King West (that's actually the name and it looks interesting).

There's the Soho Grande (I think that's the name but it's expensive).
