I am meeting an internet friend for the first time in Windsor for lunch. I need recommendations for a place that is easy to find, not too noisy and has great food. The type of food doesn't really matter. TIA!

I'd go for the Tunnel Bar-B-Q. The ribs are delicious - it's very informal and you have to not mind getting barbecue sauce on your face.

About a year ago I was at the restaurant in the Hilton for dinner. It had an interesting view of the walkway, the river and Detroit skyline. The food was good and the servers were very attentive and friendly.

Downtown:
Chanoso's (stir-frys and asian cuisine - on Ouellette, main street downtown)
Chatham Street Grill (great Angus steaks - on Chatham Street, off Ouellette)
Three - A Tasting Bar (tapas - on Pitt Street, off Ouellette)

If you like Italian, anywhere on Erie Street. You can park and then walk down the strip and choose which one you like, or try Spago Trattoria, Il Gabbiano, Tutto's.
