Okanagan Wine Tour Accomadations
Hello, We are a group of 6 friends who will be coming to the Okanagan in early Oct 2010 for a week of wine touring, hiking, general fun. We would like to rent a cabin or cottage or stay in a B and B if it was more remote. It doesn't have to be luxurious, just have lots of atmosphere. Everything I can find on the net seems to be part of a resort, are there no private or B and B type places around. I have been to Kelowna and I would prefer to be someplace less "urban", perhaps Penticton, Oliver or Osoyoos. Thanks to anyone who has some input. Mac

Here is a website for B&B's in the Oliver area.
http://www.sochamber.ca/vacation_ren...tions/b_and_b/ Oliver is a great spot for what you are looking for. If any of the B&B's are of interest to you post again and I will let you know as much as I can about the area they are in.

Naramata is on the east side of the lake, not too far out of Penticton. We came across it because of a few wineries that we like: http://www.britishcolumbia.com/regio...s/?townID=3435

Look at a B & B called God's Mountain. Near Penticton, you will think you are in Greece. Fabulous dinners catered by Joy Road Catering but I don't know when they stop for the season. Very easy to travel into Penticton or to other areas. My son is living there now and we have toured everywhere with him in the area. You can definitely hike Naramata Bench, stopping in at various vineyards. Beautiful scenery! I am going to post a few other suggestions once I get in touch with him.
