Off the wall question: where can I get a foam cooler in St. John's?

we will be traveling around, coast to coast, and would like to stock up on food to take with us. Here in California we can stop just about anywhere and pick one up, but Newfoundland?? Do the local markets there carry them, and the ice packs?

I have a softside cooler like this. Folds to pack inside another suitcase, or use as a carryon till you get there. Works well, more ecological.

We have one like elberko too, but a different brand. It's a wonderful thing. We use it a lot when taking road trips in other countries - packs like a dream.

I'm all for the ecological route, but will also need to purchase ice, or ice packs somewhere too.

We just packed a few gel ice packs from home. We generally stay in apartments, so freezer access was no issue.

Hotels have ice and as well as gas stations.

We spent 3 weeks in NF in 2018 and found the place to be beautiful but a real challenge for good restaurants once outside of St John’s. They love cod and it would be the first 5 things on the menu not much after that. We actually had fast food 3 times ( we usually avoid fast food) because of the lack of good restaurants. We then went to PEI for 2 weeks and had no problem finding great food.

Enjoy your trip and watch out for moose!
