Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island # 7-10 nights
We are planning a trip later in the year. We plan to fly into Charlottetown and fly out of Halifax.. We will have between 7 and 10 nights and would like to fit in a drive along the Cabot Trail.
We enjoy nature, hiking, photography and good food. Your suggestions for an itinerary that fits would be appreciated. Thanks

This thread will give you some things we like to do in PEI.
Halifax and PEI
Have you looked at the car rental drop fee for a one way rental by picking up in Charlottetown and dropping off in Halifax?

Thanks; lots of great information there... We have checked out the one-way rental cost.. it seems a bit cheaper to pick up in Charlottetown and drop back in Halifax.. We consider that the extra cost for one-way rental will be worth it for more time to explore given the short amount of time we have..

Hi,
Your vision of your trip isn't exactly specific enough for us to plot-out an entire itinerary for you.
BUT if you click on my name and scroll back, you can find plenty of other Nova Scotia threads there, and maybe draw some ideas from that to make your own trip ideal for you.
If going on the Confederation Bridge, then be sure to take time for Hopewell Cape, NB... and IF the idea of spending a night beside a lighthouse on the Bay of Fundy strikes your fancy,
be sure to look into scheduling a night (or two?) at Cape D'or, NS as you make your way toward Halifax or the Cabot Trail.

You will have a good feel for all 3 places. Depending on when in September the longer into the month places start to close for the season as far as PEI is concerned. So call ahead for restaurants or check the website for hours. Bring layers and rain gear as the weather can change a few times a day depending on the wind direction. The beauty never closes and the National Parks stop charging an entry fee. Halifax you will have no problem as this is the largest city you will be visiting. Enjoy your time on the road.
