Niagara Questions too- and Maid of the Mist question!
I'm doing similar to the other poster who is visiting for a day. It's also a Tuseday, but I'm staying at Brock Plaza overnight that night before heading home to MI.
Would it be better to buy tickets for Maid of the Mist beforehand, or is that not an issue? Also any other venue that I should be getting tickets for ahead of time? There are only two of us.
Thanks!

boats are scheduled every 20 minutes on both sides of the border so there are always plenty of spaces... do consider purchasing a discount attractions pass that will give you the Maid, plus several other attractions that are very interesting plus peoplemover passes...

I'm visiting Niagara Falls soon too. The pass the other poster mentioned is called the "Great Gorge Adventure Pass" and you can find it at

We just returned- and I want to say that if I was ever near for any length of time again, I would hike or bike ride the Niagara gorge area- and skip a stay near the Falls.
The Falls are great but the surrounds have turned into a Wisconsin Dells family type tourist area. Canadian side was Casinos, water park, and one tourist "ride" venue after another.
Brock was ok but difficult to find. It's buried within the "venues" now.
I got bumped up to the Fallsview Room on top and it was stupendous. But it had no A.C. and it was record 92 degrees (highest in 15 years)-for the two days I was there. I took it under those conditions and because I got there a day early. It was fine with me. I'd do it again.
The Mist, walk under the Falls, Skylon are all well worth the $$$.
Canada is EXPENSIVE. Bring money.
It's not just the exchange either. We have never paid more for food or basic purchases outside of Hawaii.
