Niagara Fall-Speedboat/Raft ride thru the gorge...
I don't know the name of this boat ride. But it's a thrill ride and huge waves go up and over you....
Does anyone know the name of it? I think it's just on the Canadian side but I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated...And it's not Maid of the Mist....

Whirlpool jet bout tours.
American side: http://www.whirlpooljet.com/
Canadian side: http://www.infoniagara.com/attractio...ool/index.html
I haven't been on myself, but I've hiked down into the gorge and sat on the rocks and watched it. It looks awesome. The rapids in the lower Niagara are the strongest in the world. The boat goes up and over them. I believe they have an open boat tour and a closed tour.
My nephew went last summer and sait it was awesome.

BuffaloGirl,Thanks so much for the info!
We saw it on TV and it looks awesome!
So we decided to go and try it out.
Hope we don't freeze in mid-June!
Boy,I was looking at the Hotels that overlook the falls on the Canadian side and their terribly expensive, especially for a Falls View Room....
The Sheraton FallsView Hotel looks great.Only 300 yards from the edge of the falls!! Woo-hoo...Can't wait to go!

Debden: Yep, summer is prime time so the hotel prices go sky high.
The weather is usually quite nice in mid June, but I'm guessing the water is going to be cold. Perhaps you can send an email to jet boat tours and ask them what to expect temperature wise!
Oh, and a word of advice (if you don't mind)......view the falls from the American and Canadian sides. On the American side you can view the falls from different vantage points - many of them are on the brink - on Goat Island. Also, you can stand next to the upper rapids. (Can you tell I have a "thing" for the rapids?)
Have fun!

its a great ride with awesome scenery of the gorge, they take you through the big wave four or five times you will get soaked and up to the whirlpool to look at the unnavigable part of the river where a wave is some 40' tall, they spin the boat around at sixty miles an hour a couple of times to get people wet and back down the river. by the way, the water temperature in june should be the 50's F and the air in the 70's. They supply you with wool sweaters and rain suit so you dry quick if you get wet. wear quick drying materials and bring spare clothes.

I prefer Niagara on the Lake which is about 20 minutes up the Niagara parkway. A quaint town, NOTL is home to Canada's wine industry in Ontario, Shaw festival theatre and excellent restaurants. In the summer there is a jazz and blues festival.
Dinner at Peller Estates was fabulous.
