The website says "Casual", but it sounds like a dressier type of place. Any comments?

I was there a couple of years ago at the old location. Dress was all over the map. Some dressed very sharply and others not. I would were the best outfit that I had on the trip if I were to go back.

Was also there a few years back. Very few neckties, but no jeans. Casual-dressy should be O.K.

We ate here Tuesday and saw everything from jeans to suit/tie!

We went with the idea of trying the tasting menu, but after watching the couple next to us receive huge plates with little dabs of food, (one of which was pork belly), we opted to order from the menu. I had calamari with bernaise sauce for my appetizer (entree) and my husband had a scallop dish. Mine was very good; he was not quite as happy. We both ordered loin of tuna for the main dish; it was very good. Dessert was creme brule with a glass of porto - excellent. Servings are smaller than usual but that seems to be usual with gourmet restaurants - we had eaten at Gibby's the night before and been overwhelmed with the amount of food. There is a choice of only 5 main dishes, so it could be a problem if you do not see something you like. Service, as expected, was excellent without being overbearing.
When it was time for the check to be presented, we were given an envelope. Inside was an anniversary card from our children - they had arranged to pick up the tab! I don't even remember telling them where we were going to be dining. A lovely surprise...
