Memphis Blues BBQ-Vancouver
I'll be in the Granville/Broadway area of Vancouver this weekend and am thinking of trying this place for lunch. I've read *very* mixed reviews about it on various sites and I'd like to know my fellow Fodorites' opinions of it.

Are you kidding me????!!!!! this place rocks! I lived in Vancouver all of last year and took all of my visitors from Ontario there. They loved it! Order the memphis feast/platter.....it feeds 3 people at least ($30). Share it and only spend about $10 per person! If you love meat, you'll love this place! It's a must!!!

Nope, we were very disappointed. We're big bbq fans and had read that MB BBQ was great so we were happy to give it a try. The place had about half a dozen people in it when we were there at dinnertime, and the food tasted like it was cooked the day before. Atmosphere-wise, there were pics of blues artists on the wall and that was about it. Otherwise, it looked like any average diner. I couldn't honest recommend it.

Thanks for the replies.
I didn't get a chance to read them before I left, so I went to Memphis Blues for lunch on Sunday. It wasn't ambrosia, but it wasn't bad. It was just average and typical of 99% of the barbecue restaurants that I've experienced. I doubt that I'll ever eat there again, but my curiosity has been assuaged.
