Memphis Peabody

I have been there b4, saw the ducks. My niece will be traveling there at the end of this month and was wondering what other highlights there might be in terms of Beal Street (is it still ok to go) and restaurants - is Rendevous still good?

She has already done the "elvis" thing.

My DH was in Memphis about 1 1/2 yrs. ago and said the Rendevous was great for BBQ. It was his 2nd time there.

I just love walking Beale Street. Last year we took recommendations here and ate BBQ at the Rendevous. We enjoyed our first experience of dry BBQ but IMO it's not as good as the wet stuff

I'm not a big fan of dry ribs and was not that impressed with Rendevous anyway. I think there are some great places to eat around Beale Street--The Rum Boogie Cafe has good food (you can get ribs wet or dry and my husband loves their red beans and rice) and usually has live music too. It's a lot of fun. There are several other restaurants along Beale that might be worth checking out for good BBQ and other types of food as well.
