lowest Flights fromToronto to NYC?

I've been checking the Air Canada website for flights to NYC from Toronto, and they seem to have a decent rate of $98 oneway. Canjet also had some $99 one way flights, but as of next week they are changing their operation.

Does anyone else know of any other airlines, or websites that offer low priced flights from Toronto to New York City? There must be others, I just could find any that were similiar to the Air Canada rates.

I would jump on the $98 fare with AC. With Canjet withdrawing from the scheduled business soon there will be that much less competition.

Agree with Gavin that $98 is a good fare.

The airlines that cover that route, as far as I can tell, are:

Air Canada code share with United – flies to LGA and EWR

American – flies to JFK and LGA

Continental – flies to EWR

Delta (with seemingly far fewer flights) – flies to JFK

Their regular fares are in the same price range, about US$140 one way.

Have you thought about Jet Blue out of Buffalo....fares as low as $59 US one way. It's only a little over an hour flight and the airport is smaller. I've driven and taken these flights instead of paying out of Toronto....but $98 is a good price.

The rates out of Toronto always seem decent, until you get the final figure with all the taxes.

The rates out of Buffalo are usually much better, in part because the taxes and extra fees are so much lower.

Too many times in the past , I've been excited about fares out of Toronto, only to be disappointed when I see the final price.

Buffalo is now my airport of choice.

Thanks to everyone who provided some info..

I checked out the JetsBlue site for flights leaving out of Buffalo & it seems like their normal rates are kinda high still.. Anyone know how often they display sale rates?

When you check JetBlue site, make sure you look at all the flights for the day. They aren't all the same price. A $99 fare may only apply to one of the flights and it's sort of tucked in with all the more expensive fares. SO look closely.
