Lodging in or near Jasper
My family of 4 is traveling to Calgary and staying in Banff for 9 days the end of June, 2006. We plan to travel to Jasper National Park and the Ice Fields, with hikes, tours etc.. in mind. After reading the many articles of what to do and sights to see, I realize we'll need to stay overnight near Jasper to enjoy our time to the fullest one night.
Where do you recommend staying with a moderate budget in mind? Our kids are 14 (girl) and 10 (boy) and are both getting on the adventerous side.
Thanks for the help.

Not sure how 'moderate' these are but here are some suggestions.
Becker's Chalets, Tekarra Lodge and Alpine Village are all cabin type accomodation just south of the townsite by the Athabasca river. Pyramid Lake Resort is a nice place on the shores of a lake.
There a a lot of 'tourist rooms' available in the townsite that may fit your plans and budget also. These are room in local houses, like Bed and Breakfast without the breakfast.
