I am looking for accommodations in Jasper, Alberta - and am trying to narrow down the list.

Has anyone stayed at:
Becker's Chalets
Jasper House Bungalows
Patricia Lake Bungalows
Tekarra Lodge

We are a party of 5 adults. I would love to hear your input on these.

We've never stayed at Jasper House Bungalows, I even had to Google them to see where they are!! But I can comment on the rest.

Becker's Chalets have always been a favourite spot of ours; it's a three minute drive south of Jasper townsite on the Icefield Parkway and beautifully situated on a bend of the Athabasca River. There is a dining room on site with nice views to the river and mountains beyond. The food in the dining room (over the years) has ranged anywhere from wonderful to average. For accommodation you have a choice of type of cabin, some are more rustic than others. We like to stay in the deluxe fourplexes. They are one bedroom units with a full kitchen, clean & comfortable.

Tekarra Lodge is between Becker's Chalet's and Jasper Townsite. I don't think the location is quite as good as Becker's, but then most locations in the mountains are gorgeous so it's bit picky to even say that!! In my opinion the cabins at Tekarra aren't quite as nice as at Becker's, but we haven't stayed there reccently, and things do change.

Patricial Lake Bungalows are a 5 to 8 minute drive north of Jasper townsite on a small road through the woods. The collection of cabins are on Patricia Lake with a view to Pyramid Mountain. Most of the cabins look a lot like 1960 bungalows from the outside. We've stayed at one of the new units at The Grove and loved it - very spacious, clean and well designed one bedroom units with a full kitchen.

Have you considered Alpine Village? - another great spot and lovely cabins!!

I emailed Alpine Village with my request only to find they were sold out for the dates I wanted.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge cabins in comparison to Becker Chalets?

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (known as JPL to locals) is much more upscale than Becker's; the grounds are lovely, it's prettily situated by Lac Beauvert with a view to snow-clad Mount Edith Cavell, the beds come with down comforters etc., you can get room service (which they bring on bikes), the main lodge (where you would register) has several dining rooms, coffee shop, lounge, and souvenir/clothes/art shops; there's a spa too, a golf course, a path around the lake, one can rent a canoe or kayak and paddle the lake; there's also a swimming pool.
In short, it's a first class Fairmont property and the service never disappoints. Of course, it costs first class $$$ too !!

We stayed at Beckers last year and enjoyed it, although it was only for one night. The restaurant was very good indeed.

Jasper Park Lodge is in another league, however, and so are its prices.

We stayed at Becker's Chalets and thought it to be very pleasant - rustic cabins, but all conveniences plus fireplace. We had an upper unit with a lovely view overlooking the green grassy area, and wildlife grazing upon it. Jasper Park Lodge has an excellent restaurant. I'd suggest staying elsewhere and taking a lovely drive to JPLodge for dinner. Dining Room overlooks the lake, food was superb.

JPL is definitely first rate. Totally agree with Borealis' description. There were 7 of us in a "cabin" (which designation to us was an understatement) and we had absolutely no complaints. Step-dad picked up the tab (fortunately for us) but we guessed it wasn't cheap. Definitely worth considering if it's within your budget.

We also tried to stay at Alpine Village--they require a 3 nt stay and we could only stay 2. It looks lovely.

We stayed our first visit at Becker's, it's located along the river right before entering the town. We liked it enough--stayed in the fourplex--our view was over the parking lot--beautiful view of the woods out the bedroom windows--couldn't figure why they didn't turn the unit around so that you looked out toward the woods. Very clean, very new unit.

Last year we stayed at Patricia Lake and so enjoyed out time there. We actually stayed in the older cottages, like Borealis says looks very 50s/60s--the Grove is very nice, new--but our cottages(3 couples/3cottages)were very nice, had updated baths, very clean, flat screen over the fireplace. Picnic table out front, flower boxes brimming with flowers at the windows. We totally enjoyed our happy hour/sunset and coffee on the deck over the lake. Beautiful location.

In years past I have stayed as Jasper House in what was tantamount to a small apartment with a kitchen. We were only two, so one bedroom was plenty for us.

Patricia Lake Bungalows is/are a very good choice. It/they have a variety of accommodations in terms of size.

Given that there are 5 adults are you staying in one unit?
If so, you really will need 2 bathrooms to keep peace in the "family." At least, that is my opinion.
