That's weird! I just checked the report at Big White and the projected opening date for skiing is November 24th (still 7 weeks away). The mountain report was last updated April 11th 2005 - that's last season.

It's autumn yet, isn't it :-?

The conditions are posted here:

We in Toronto have had a referendum and decided not to let it snow south of Thornhill.

Admirable idea hdm. Snow and Toronto are a bad combination.

Thornhill is a northern suburb of Toronto. By banning snow south of Thornhill, our Toronto friends on the forum are declaring most of the metropolitan area to be a snow-free zone -- in their dreams of course.

Check out the web cam at www.bigwhite.com. It showed snow last Thursday, and has been cool in the valley for the past week. It definately feels like fall in Kelowna. The webcam at the Telus park is the hightest one.
My kids cannot wait to go snowboarding.

Sorry Marko, I'm in BC, but no snow. Then again, Vancouver isn't known for snow, even in the midst of winter. Today was 15 degrees C today.

When are you coming to Big White? Ski season generally doesn't start in BC until late November, and sometimes December.
