I'm wondering if there's decent skiing in Aspen as of today? We cancelled a trip to Tahoe last weekend because of the lack of snow. My DH is supposed to go to Aspen first week of March. I know anything can happen in the next month - just curious what it's like now.

Interesting. So basically you're going 5 or more weeks from now but you really want a specific individual's report of how much snow there is there TODAY as that will make some sort of difference as to how much snow there might be in 5 weeks? Ok. I think I got it.

Five weeks away-- anything can happen. You could maybe look at the snowfall stats for what has happened in March, when the base is currently x number of inches. I don't even know if that can be done, though.
I'm not really sure why you pose the question. If your DH has to be in Aspen anyway, don't worry about it. Aspen is awesome year-round.
If you're wondering whether or not to tag along-- definitely do. You will never know for sure about the snow, but like I said, Aspen is special any time.

Actually I was in Cuba. Just back this week. Reports from friends is that the snow is good. Not as heavy as last year. The World Cup in Beaver Creek is having problems with two much snow. I have ski a lot of first week in March at Snowmass and have never had a bad week.

We were on a legal, people-to-people cultural exchange. It was eye opening and mind blogging. We saw a side of Cuba that the average tourist would never see. Sad country. On Thursday of our week the restriction on Cuban cigars and rum was lifted. We were among the first wave of returning tourists that could legal carry these items into the US.

We were in Breckenridge about the time you were in Aspen. Great skiing but cold and snowy most of the week. Only one day of bright sun and no snow. But who is complaining?
Skied Copper Mt yesterday. Mostly hard pack and nearly everything groomed smooth even some of the black slopes. Supposed to get this weekend. Will be in Breckenridge most of next week so hopefully they get some new snow.
Easter is three weeks off so the season is about over. Already received notice that my season pass will automatically renew in four weeks and at a higher rate. Ok - one more year.
