St. John, New Brunswick mid Dec-snowy, rainy, what can I expect ?

Hello, I will probably be in St. John around Dec 12-23 and I have looked on weather sites, but in picking out things to pack, I am curious if the low temps are accompanied with more wet weather, etc. I am trying to get the right coat. Thanks for any advice ! I am looking forward to the visit even though it's a work trip.

Hard to say what you will encounter during December in Saint John. I would say take a winter coat - one that will keep you warm.

i was in this city for the first time this summer. i was not overly impressed. if i had to go there for work for 2 weeks, i'd look around on where you could go for short trips on your days off.

Thanks for the info-It is a work trip, so I am not sure how much time I will have to do other stuff, but I will keep that in mind....I think I will miss the puffins by a couple months

It will be chilly, but a nice warm coat will keep you toasty. As far as wetness, we do get rain here sometimes in December. If you are staying at one of the uptown hotels (Delta or Hilton), you will be connected via pedway to lots of shops and best of all at Christmas time , The City Market.
SYMPHONY NEW BRUNSWICK - THE SOUNDS OF VIENNA is on December 14 at the Imperial Theater at 8 pm. Check out

whatever you choose to do, I hope you feel welcome in our little city. Cheers!
