Inside passage - B.C. or Alaska?

we are Canadians who have been living in France for a number of years. We’re thinking of a trip back to Canada next year, focusing on an Inside Passage Cruise. Most of the information I’ve seen refers to Alaska cruises, but as Canadians, our instinct is to spend more time on the B.C. section. Nowhere I’ve seen talks much about what if any difference there is between Alaska and B.C. Any thoughts?

A cruise from Vancouver to Ketchikan should take you through the BC coast. A few ships stop in Prince Rupert but that is just maybe 200km from Ketchikan. I am no expert but BC doesn't have easy access to land.

You might try the Vancouver Island forum on Trip Advisor. They may know of excursions from the northern island that would be closer to what you want.

It’s not so much finding a cruise, but knowing if there is much difference between the Alaskan and B.C. portions of the trip. Is it just more of the same if we continue on up the coast, or very different.
