Huntsville, Ont. - Restaurant Recommendations?

This fall, my husband and I will be spending a few days near Huntsville, Ont. While there, we would like to dine out on a couple of evenings. When last we were in the area (two years ago), we dined at "Three Guys and a Stove". We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and tasty meals. We plan to return during our upcoming trip but are wondering if it is still a good choice two years later. Does anyone have recent experience dining at this restaurant? Also, would anyone have any other restaurant recommendations in the area? We would prefer something within approximately 30 min drive of Huntsville, with prices up to low 20's for entrees, and a casual atmosphere. (We have tried "The Cottage" and found it a little inconsistent in terms of service and food. We have also tried the diningrooms at the Deerhurst and the Grandview but prefer something less formal.)

Thank-you very much for your assistance.

Hello PLJ: Well, unfortunately, there is not a lot of choice w/in 30 min of Huntsville. 3 Guys is still good. You might also consider the dining room @ the "new" Grandview Golf Course designed by Mark O'Meara (across Highway 60 from the "old Grandview".) If you are there early Fall the patio may still be open. Very nice. Killarney Lodge is wonderful (BYOB b/c it is w/in The Park) but not w/in your 30 min parameter (about 45 min...maybe < or > depending on where you are "coming from" in Huntsville.) The Grumpy Bear in Dwight is great but they were closed over the summer & scheduled to re-open in Sept so call first. Very good food. Casual but nice. You cld drive down to Dorset ( about 40 minutes+-) & go to The Fiery(sp?) Grill on the water which I love. Again, driving time depends on where you are in Huntsville. From Highway 60 & 11 it's about 20 minutes to Highway 35 South & then about another 20 minutes to Dorset. Finally, if you like Chinese food there is a wonderful Chinese Rest. in The Huntsville Place Shopping Mall! King's Court or something like that. Really good scallops & snow peas!

Hi wow, thank-you very much for your generous response. From your recommendations, it certainly sounds as if it is well worth going a little farther afield than we had originally planned. You've been a great help. Thanks again.
