How do I get to Victoria?

I agree with BC, you can easily spend two days exploring Vancouver. To go to Victoria would require an all day Greyline bus tour or a car rental. We did a car rental for freedom of choice, left our hotel at 5:30 am, returned around 6:30 pm and still felt rushed in seeing Victoria and Butchart Gardens. The ferry ride alone takes 1.5 to 2 hours each way.

I agree with the others that it might make sense to stay in Vancouver. But to answer your question, you can take a bus from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria. The ferries usually run every hour in the summer (but not 24 hours a day), and every second hour the rest of the year. You might enjoy the trip through the gulf islands. Be sure to make note of your bus number when you get off it during the sailing because you'll get back on the same one on the other side.

A more costly, but quick and scenic way to go is to take the float plane. You'd be in downtown Victoria in about half an hour.
