hotel suggestions niagara falls for 4 nights

Looking for nice hotel with falls view. I was thinking maybe a couple of nights at the Crowne on the Canadian side which has underground access to waterpark. Taking 2 young grandchildren. We are coming from Long Island and a worried about crossing the border though. Also looking for a hotel with casino, maybe on NY side, Hilton? My husband is a gambler. I thought it would be convenient if it was all connected. Suggestions for day trips woudl be appreciated.

The Crowne Plaza is right next door to the older Casino Niagara... Papa will be very happy there and if not he could shuttle to the newer Fallsview for free if he joins the loyalty club.... be sure to ask for a higher floor on the falls side .... there are tons of kids things around that area and just a short walk to Clifton Hill.... You and your hubby must have passports to cross the borders... younger kids need birth certificates and a Letter from their parents that they are in your care for the trip... this eliminates any concern that you are stealing their kids... The US side does have a Casino/Hotel but it is not as child friendly as the Crowne and the views stink!! The border is no problem unless you have a criminal past or lack the proper ID... have fun but make the Canadian side your choice!!

How about getting a Fallsview room at the newest casino on the Canadian side. (you do not want to stay on the American side, you want to visit Goat Island on the American side and do the Cave of the Winds but stay on the Canadian side)http://www.fallsviewcasinoresort.com/
The Crown Plaza is an older hotel, we stayed there when it was the Brock Plaza, it was clean but the rooms were small and with 2 kids??? also, you are farther away from
Horseshoe Falls, but closer to Clifton Hill. Our favorite place to stay is Embassy Suites in a Fallsview room and with kids it would be great to have two rooms with micro, fridge and they have some good packages that include breakfast and $45.00 off dinner:
http://www.embassysuitesniagara.com/ but of course farther from the casino.

But cd the Embassy Suites is right next door to the newer casino so maybe it is the better choice.
