Hotel locations in Toronto

I am looking forward to my first trip to Toronto next month. And I'm trying to choose between Marriott Eaton Centre and Renaissance Toronto SkyDome. I want to be staying within walking distance to as many of Toronto's attractions as possible without having to use public transportation. Which of these two hotels do you think is the best?

Thank you.

Marriott is right on the Subway line and is close to many of the theatres and the largest Shopping Centre in the city.

Have to agree with Gary. The Marriott Eaton Centre, is closer to everything. The Queen St Subway station is right there, access to streetcars, you can walk to many major attractions from this hotel.

Agree with both the above, but either hotel would be lovely. Please write if you need any suggestions ....lots of great restaurants, great theatre productions on right now. Lots of attractions....depends how long you are staying .
I live just outside of Toronto, it is a WONDERFUL city, and I hope you enjoy your stay

Both hotels are in great locations. My office is just a couple of blocks from the Skydome, very close to the theatres and Entertainment district. Plus if you're a baseball fan and you want to see a game, the Jays might be in town. But the Marriott is also a great location, right next to the Eaton Centre.

In fact, the SkyDome hotel is closer to the Princesses of Wales and Royal Alexandra theatres, while the Mariott is closer to the Pantages.

Marriott is closser to chain stores in a giant shopping center; SkyDome closer to funky shops of Queen Street West.

Tossup for the Hockey Hall of Fame; SkyDome is next the the CN Tower, a block or two from a strip of great restaurants on King Street West. mariott close to Oro, one of the best semi-high priced restaurants in Toronto.

Skydone is near harborfront; Marriott is near the Textile Museum (honest)

All in all, it doesn't matter.
BAK
