August trip to where ?????

Great locations and hotels would be:

In the Rockies - Chateau Lake Louise, Rimrock Inn, Jasper Park Lodge

On the Pacific Rim (Vancouver Island):
Wickaninish Inn, Middle Beach Lodge

Naturally there are other lovely locations in Canada, but you didn't specify, and these are my favorites !!!

Believe CSS is talking about Toronto. Hopefully, there is no confusion but you have listed 3 hotels - Fairmont Royal York, Delta Chelsea and Park Hyatt. All 3 have great locations (all are near transit and shopping) and each hotel is different. Fairmont Royal York is near watrefront, Skydome, CN Tower, entertainment district. Delta Chelsea is near Eaton Centre and well regarded as a family hotel. Park Hyatt is in Yorkville and across the street form the Royal Ontario Museum. Most people would rate the hotels in the following order, which probably reflects the rates, Park Hyatt, Fairmont Royal York and Delta Chelsea.

More info on age of teens and your interests might refine the advice. Enjoy!

A great location in Toronto would depend somewhat on what your interests are and what you are planning to do during your stay. The Royal York is the Fairmont hotel, and is right downtown, close to shopping, entertainment, etc. The Delta Chelsea is close to the Eaton Centre. The Park Hyatt is close to Yorkville. Depending on your plans, all are good hotels. Doing a search here on the various hotels or on Toronto hotels in general would get you lots of info and insight as to what each offers. Perhaps posting again and letting the forum know what your planned activites are would also help, ie: museums, shopping, etc.

Thanks for all your help. We hope to see the CN tower, the canada expo (think its in August), amybe the science center and wonderland amusement park. Evenings; theatre, good meals. Shoppping; cool clothes but not chain stores as we live in a big city. So better toward Yorkville area than Eaton centre?
