High Park, Toronto

I may be going to visit family in this area next month. I was wondering if anyone has hotel recommendations in this area? Also, it seems very residential so I am assuming it may not be walkable to "downtown" Toronto, is there public transport? I obviously haven't done much research, so bear with me!!!!

It is not walkable, unless you take a very long time.

My daughter used to do it during a transit strike.

But it is easy via subway.

In the High Park area, there's a station right at Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue. I used to live right next door.

Best / nearest decent hotel is the O;ld Mill, a couple of subway stops (or a nice walk) west of hHigh PArk.

Hi AP6380! South of High Park is a Sheraton Four Points (on the Lake) although it wouldn't be very convenient if you don't have a car......here's a link

I have a list of things to do in Toronto - email me (do you still have my address?)

There might be B&Bs in the area. I would also consider a downtown hotel along Bloor Street for a simple one subway commute. The Park Hyatt at Bloor and Avenue Rd. and the Comfort at 15 Charles come to mind comes to mind at the moment. It's been thirty years since I stayed at either hotel so all I am saying is that they exist and not that I have any current knowledge of what it like to stay at them. High Park is about ten stops on the subway from downtown.
