Have you seen the Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival in Toronto?

Has anyone attended this festival? We will be visiting Toronto in September.

No, but I really want to go. We've driven by it and it looks fabulous. From the road we can see huge colourful dragons .

When are you coming to Toronto. We are having a Toronto Gathering, out for dinner on Sept 12. It would be great if you were here then.

I went last year and thought it was worth it. You can see some from the road but you have to get inside to see it all.

LJ you've given me an idea. I should check out the moon's cycle before deciding when to go.
It sounds wonderful.

Its on (the festival that is, not the moon!) until October 7th so you get two more shots at it.

Personally I haven't attended it, but I've heard rave reviews from friends. The regular admission for adults is $25, but my friends said there's a legit way to buy tickets online for only $18. (using Visa only)

I'm not a frequent poster on the forum, so I'm not sure if I'm allow to post the website and relevant coupon code? Can someone let me know? Because this can save someone a good $7 bucks! Thanks!

LeeLeeLee, welcome to the board!

Yes, you can post something like that. However, for future reference you are not allowed to advertise your own business.

FYI, in case you want to read it for yourself, the "rules of conduct" for this board can be seen thru the Help option.

This event sounds like a lot of fun - I'll look it up and keep it in mind!
Enjoy-la!

Lee, I also am not sure if you are allowed to post that information. If you are allowed, please post, that would be a significant savings.

From Rules of Conduct on this board, it states, "Also please do not advertise or include commercial promotion or profanity in your posts."

So I guess I can't post my coupon/promotional codes for the $7 savings. Sorry guys...

Try Google something like "2007 Chinese Lantern Festival/Ontario Place Discounted Tickets". I'm sure you'll be able to find it, there's at least two codes out there with this $7 discount.

Our family went last year and it was great. I've heard that there are even more lanterns this year.

So, no hesitation in recommending it for a wonderful night ... especially if the sky is clear and you can see the moon.
