fire at Tigh-Na-Mara, Parksville

There was a big fire at Tigh-Na-Mara resort in Parksville (BC) a few days ago. So ... if you have a booking there, I'd suggest contacting them to make sure you've still got a room!

Thanks for the heads-up!
I wouldn't have had heard that news here.

We were thinking of staying a night in that area. Guess we'll have to figure out another place - that place was a leading candidate.

Any recommendations anyone?

They're not completely closed, just one of the buildings was affected. So it may still be possible to stay there. But the other "resorts" on the same stretch of beach are good bets too. I've stayed at Madrona, but I think they only do weekly rentals. Grey Crest is also right on the beach. Ocean Trails and Riverbend are a bit further inland.

Try this website:
http://www.zapbc.com/index.asp?actio...Motels/Resorts

No need to worry about your reservations at the Tigh-Na-Mara. It was only one building that was scorched, the rest of the resort is fine. Send them an email at
[email protected]
