Driving from Calgary to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper
My husband and I are driving from Calgary airport to Banff, stay one night, then to Lake Louise, stay one night and onto Jasper where we will stay one night before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train for Vancouver. How long is the drive between each of these destinations? Is one night enough in each town? We are seniors and enjoy leisurely sightseeing.

Calgary Airport to Banff allow about 2 hours, Banff to LL less than an hour and LL to Jasper about 3 hours plus stops.
I don't think you will have any trouble filling your time in Banff and Jasper. There is less to see and do in Lake Louise but one night is OK. However you may want to stay two nights in Banff and head to Jasper from there.
The drive from Lake Louise to Jasper is something that I look forward to even though I live in the area. Enjoy!

I'm thinking of going to these 3 places in mid September. I enjoy leisurely drives with plenty of stops for photo ops, hiking, biking, and generally relaxing and soaking up my surroundings.
Is two weeks in the area a good amount of time for this? Two much? Too little? I'd probably spend a day or two in Calgary as well. Any other suggestions of places to visit nearby?
TIA
