I just looked at Google maps and. as I suspected, you can't get here from there.
If it was me, I'd follow the south shore ofthe St. Lawrence to Riviere du Loup, and then head south into new Brunswick, down the scenic St. John River valley, past the Hartland covered bridge, to Woodstock.
Decision time.
Either turn west and cross into Maine and go to Houlton, and then head through somewhat boring forests to Bangor and then to Bar Harbor.
Much more interesting, but longer, is to go though Fredericton and St. John, then along the shore, more or less,. to t. GEorge, then to Deer Island by ferry, Campebello by ferry, and then bridge into Maine at Lubec.
I've done variations of this a dozen times, and it is a wonderful way to see Canada and the Maine coast.

I have done the Quebec City trip to New Brunswick many times on the South Shore which is lovely, but we were blown away this year by doing it on the north shore through Charlevoix. It is charming and delightful and beautiful. You can take the ferry across to Riviere Du Loup at Sainte Simeon. A great stop over with great restaurants and accomodations from 3 to 5 star is Malbaie.
