Canada3000 airlines stops flying
Just seen on www.canad3000.com that it has ceased all flying operations with immediate effect.
This is a grat shame as I flew with them from London to Toronto last year and they were quite good for the price.

well i myself never liked them, hated the food, in july the plane was delayed while everyone in waiting room was wondering why, never announced it on speakers! this happened on return trip, they sent my luggage to wrong hotel in las vegas last year, took 3 days to find it! Stewardesses weren't that friendly. I swore I never would fly again with them, but they seem to have the best package deals to mexico, so now im stuck with my plane tickets from a mexican trip planned for xmas! So I'm off to hopefully get my 3600.00 refund soon!

I'm amazed they lasted this long! We flew Can 3000 last Christmas to the Caribbean & vowed never to even consider flying w/ them again! We were told to arrive @ the airport 3 hrs. ahead of flight time for both departure & return flights. We did this & both times the flight was delayed 2 hours w/ no explanation from Can 3000! Flight attendants were rude, cranky & all seemed resentful to have to be working over the Christmas holidays. The food was inedible, seats were cramped & uncomfortable. This airline was run inefficiently right from its inception. The surprise is not that it has finally been grounded but that it took so long for them to have their wings clipped. And, now thousands have to bear the brunt of a mismanaged airline.

I've flown a lot over the years and you know, I've had good and bad experiences with all the airlines. There was the time we flew to Australia - the 24 hour trip ended up taking 48 hours - talk about a nightmare! That was with Canadian Air before they were taken over by Air Canada. I know lots of people loved Canadian whereas my experience was terrible. Now I generally fly Air Canada (use frequent flyer miles a lot for personal travel). Got on the flight the other morning and had a stale muffin for breakfast!! But at least they are flying. I feel really badly for everyone booked on Canada 3000.

If you live in Ontario, ALWAYS book a flight through a travel agent. They are covered by insurance if an airline collapses. If you book directly with the airline and it goes under, you could be stranded (they operate under different rules). Caveat emptor!
