We are a family of 6. Is this hotel worth staying for 2 nights with teenagers??How does the rimrock compare??or is there any comparison?the rimrock is half the price.

Well its expensive! My choice would be the Rimrock. Both are out of the Banff "downtown" area but within walking distance. I know the Banff Springs has a shuttle into town and I think the Rimrock might also.

You can stay at the Rimrock much less expensively and have a much nicer room. The Rimrock is my favorite place to stay in Banff--have stayed there 3 times as opposed to one horrible experience at the Banff Springs Hotel.

there is a hotel in town, tunnel mountain chalets, that has a waterslide in their pool area if that interests your teenagers.

Haven't stayed at either place, but the Rimrock appears to have the better views.

If you stay at the Rimrock, you can still visit the Banff Springs, and, if in the mood for an elegant dinner, eat in the main dining room, too.

Use soem of the money you save on the room to pay for the meal.
