Banff in august after flood

Most of the areas hit by the floods including Banff are still in a state of emergency. Until the flood waters recede, the extent of the damage and how long it will take to fix them is unknown. Hopefully we'll know more in the coming week.

Most of the water has receded already except in the town of High River (south of Calgary) which still has some flooded neighbourhoods, although the rivers are still flowing higher and faster than normal.
As jomargliz mentioned, most of the highways are open and I would expect all of them to be by Sept. For the most up to date info on road closures, this is a good site: http://511.alberta.ca/ab/en.html
For information on park infrastructure (trails, campgrounds etc.) the best information is from the parks themselves:
