Apartment stay in Vancouver

We are coming to Vancouver in December for 2 nights and would prefer to stay in a 2 bedroom apartment, rather than a hotel room.We are after a reasonable standard of accomodation - and quiet, too!!
I have found Rosedale on Robson - any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I started to list some of my favorites from research I did on apartments this past year, but then I realized you said for only 2 nights. Most of the apartments I found only rent by the week, or at least a four or five night minimum. There may be a place or two on VRBO that rent nightly.

I hesitated to answer the original question, because I've never stayed at Rosedale on Robson. However, I've only seen good things about it on the travel discussion boards.

According to its web site, it's a suite hotel, so not strictly speaking a self-catering apartment in the sense in which I understand that term. Judging from the floor plans on the web site, each suite has a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen. That is, there appear to be kitchen facilities in an alcove off the living room, but no separate kitchen and no dining table.

The rates appear to be quoted by the night. However, watch out for the small print that clarifies that the rates are for single occupancy, and there is a charge of $20 per night for each extra person.

Thanks for your replies. Perhaps my using the term 'apartment' is misleading. Having a full kitchen, dining room etc is not important to us. Having 2 separate (but adjacent) bedrooms and a sitting/living room is more so!Thanks again!
