Amsterdam: How Many Days
We are going on a river cruise starting in Budapest and are considering spending some time before in Amsterdam or Berlin. Any opinions. We have been to Copenhagen, and some of the Baltic area but never to Eastern Europe. How many days do we need in Amsterdam?

I'd say as many as you can get! But seriously, I would say three minimum if it's just Amsterdam. Four would be better. But there are so many interesting places around Amsterdam that a week wasn't nearly long enough for me.
