Advice - Quebec City to Fredericton
I just checked mapquest and yahoo and found very different info on driving times between Quebec and Fredericton. Yahoo says 9 hours and 39 minutes, Mapquest says 6 hours and 13 minutes. I had based on itinerary and stops on mapquest - now I'm starting to wonder if our drive is a lot longer than I had planned. Anyone done that trip?

I've done it in about 6 hours, driving very fast, and only stopping for gas. Not the way a tourist should travel.

The difference could be because one of your sources bsased time on the expressway-type road, and the other took into consideration the slower, more attractive road closer to the St. Lawrence River.

If I were you, considering this is a vaction and there are interesting towns to visit, I'd set aside a whole day for the trip.

BAK

BAK

Thanks Brian. Already we've had a bit of a change in our plans. We were due to leave tomorrow to drive to Quebec City and my husband has come down with a bad cold. (You know how that happens just before a holiday?) He's really not up for a long drive, so now I've changed our hotel reservation in Quebec City and we'll spend only 1 night there instead of 2. (We've been there before so I guess it's not a big deal.) We'll drive only part way tomorrow - at least we can then take our time getting up tomorrow morning.

You're right - it is a holiday and we want to enjoy the trip.
