Which Island?

Hello,

I have 10 days in December for New Zealand (from Dec 21 - 31). I have been to Australia before but never to NZ. Which island do you recommend? I have heard that South Island has lot more to see.

Thanks

I would be inclined to advise you to visit the SI . I know you'll then come back to see the rest of the country!

If I really really had to choose, I'd pick the south island. In particular, all down the west coast, including the area around Queenstown. The overnight Doubtful Sound cruise was one of the highlights of my trip.

The South Island. Currently in Motueka on our 7th visit to the SI. Only visited the NI once, but the SI keeps calling us back.

Hi Healthy - still in NZ - we've had four wonderful meals at Little India so far and had a fabulous lunch at Mantra in Arrowtown today, which is owned by the same family that owns Little India. Headed to yet another meal at the Queenstown Little India for dinner tonight - my pants may never be the same!
