What, exactly, is the Euroka Clearing?
Is it just a place you drive to off the road, or is it a venue with gates, admission fee, specific hours of operation? I've seen several mentions of having breakfast with the kangaroos. Is there a specific place to do this? Are the kangaroos better seen early in the day or at dusk?

it is literally a hectare or so clearing in the gum forest of the lower blue mountains national park.In some ways it is the quintessential aussie bush just one hour from central sydney.
You turn off the great western highway at Glenbrook just after you have climbed the escarpment after crossing the nepean river. You pay an entrance fee at the national park gate (A$8) and proceed about 5 km to the site.Wth luck there will be a good number of roos and some native birds down there.it is best to go early (before the tourist vans). Get a coffee and a pastry at the glenbrook bakery.
For more info check the blue mountains national park site.
