United flight # 9545

we will be going to Auckland in March and will be using United Airlines from LAX to Aukland, flight #9545, it is a boeing 777/200. Can anyone tell me what kind of meal/s is offered in economy and are the beverages free(alcohol and soda)?
Also, are upgrades to economy plus offered on this flight? If so, how much of a price difference is there? Thanks,

That's not going to be on United. It is a United code share operated by Air New Zealand. United no longer flies its own planes to New Zealand.

We have flown United from Australia many times, because, although their food is truly unmemorable and sometimes unappetising and even inedible, their Mileage Plus system makes it worthwhile for us Aussies.
Flying Air New Zealand will be a definite plus for you - I think they are equivalent to Qantas.

All drinks should be free on an international flight - we've never had to pay for them.
We once got an upgrade (unasked for) from Sydney to Auckland too.

Air New Zealand is a super airline, and the 777s are very nice. You'll get two meals; drinks, including wine and beer, are included in the ticket price. ANZ also has a very good selection of entertainment; each seat has its own video screen.

I don't know how much premium economy seats cost compared to regular economy, but ANZ economy seats have a good amount of legroom, more than many other airlines.

Take a look at www.airnewzealand.com for more information.
