Sydney Apartment Hotels

Hi,
We, three adults, intend to spend about two weeks in Sydney, beginning December 1st 2004.
We would like to stay in, at least, a one bedroom suite, air conditioned and fully equiped; In a CENTRALLY LOCATED Apt. Hotel, within walking distance from circular quay, Opera house and the Rocks. Could any one recommend a good place that would cost about US$100-150.
Many thanks,
Miky

I am pulling my hair out now thinking where I saw a special offer for

"Saville" Bond Street apartments.

It is everything you want except normal rates are quite high, so if we can find the specials it maybe just the ticket.

Just need to remember where I saw the special deal? Will post back if it comes back to me!

Found the deal thing but is quite complicated. Basically buy a voucher that entitles to you buy one night, get one free. BUT (and are there not always buts?) the deal is for studio room only although they allow three adults and the room looks a bit broken up looking at their floor plan (so some privacy) They quote about $350 so it would about $170 AUD per night .

HOWEVER .. in my experience if you stay as long as a week you can negotiate a weekly rate in apartments and get way better deals than nightly stays.

You may even look into the Waldorf apartments spoken about on the other thread, not quite as close but about A$ 1,000 per week. With current FX rates translates to about USD730.00/week.

Waldorf apartments (different location, not as central)

A little further but only a matter of metres is another apartment I found on web ... Medina Classic Martin Place Sydney. I could not find a dedicated webiste but loads of others taking reservations.

Hope this helps.

Jane

There is another thread which you will see further down the list on this subject - and also if you do a Search at the top of the page there has been a lot of discussion in the past about various Apartment/Hotels in the CBD which will be of interest to you.

Miky/Jane....net address for Medina is www.medinaapartments.com.au and email address is [email protected] Classic Martin Place is certainly in a central position. Cheers!

Not sure how much it costs, but I stayed at the Pacific International Apartments in SYD, very nice. They have some two bedroom apartments as well.
