Hi!
I want to thank you all for the ideas/suggestions. I went to the Marché Bonsecours today, where they sell things from local artists (ceramics, jewelry, clothing, paintings, furniture, crafts, arts, etc). I found a beautiful "broche" (jewelry) for the lady I'll be staying at. It is hand crafted by a jewelry artist in silver. I hope she will like it! And if she doesn't, a gift, it's something I've chosen from my heart, so that's better than nothing!

Jewellery is always a good choice.
Good luck on your travels.
