Prue,
this is SO funny!!! I'm going to Oz in Sept./ Oct. and I really really wanted to take this train trip! But reviewing my itinerary and other things I need to do, I don't think I can fit it in!
My rep from Tourism Queensland will be on the train on Sept.22; her second time/
Now my question to you is: what are you doing AFTER you get into Longreach??

Hi Melodie,
Once we reach Longreach we are joining an APT Tour for 8 days and then will be in Cairns for a further 6 days.
I know - the dreaded bus tour - but it is our preferred means of travel.
The tour takes us to Winton, Mt. Isa, Karumba, Georgetown and then Cairns.
We are looking forward to it very much but I would really love to know more about the train trip - it reads as though it will be fun - and something different.
