Sofitels on Bora Bora/Moorea?

Hello,
I saw some disturbing comments about the staff/rooms of the Sofitel on Huahine but I'm wondering about the ones on Bora Bora and Moorea. Any comments? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

We were over in French Polynesia recently, but did not stay on Huahine. However, we met a couple who had just been there and stayed at the Te Tiare resort on Huahine. They really liked it. They said there was no way they would stay at the Sofitel after comparing it to the Te Tiare. Apparently the prices are not much different with the two hotels.

I would suggest you talk to Tahiti Travel Planners. They have a helpful website located at http://www.millenniumtours.com. That is who we used and they were very good and really knew the hotels. I am sure they can guide you about which hotels to stay in. They really helped us a lot with our planning and they had good prices. We shopped around and they were definitely lower than the other companies we talked to.

Have a good trip.
Walt

My wife and I stayed at Sofitel in Moorea in October, 1999 and had a great time. We were in an overwater bungalow, and it was great. Good beach, good lagoon. Would stay there again. We preferred dining away from the hotel in the evenings.
