But the cost of buying such a top of the range laptop would buy a round the world flight. Hmmmm?

Chimani - our small laptop (Averatec brand) cost $800 US 2 years ago so now it probably comes with a box of cereal!
When I was looking for a travel laptop price was a big consideration - sub $1000 I can take the risk of losing it or having it stolen (it's the same risk as our camera at that point)....and I always back up our photos to flash drives in case the laptop does disappear.
oliverandharry - no problem with your snotty opinion!!! We enjoy doing the blog so much and it's such a positive part of our adventures! And I'm remiss in not thanking you for your posts regarding Norfolk - it was the 'tipping point' for our decision to go there and we so enjoyed it!
