Sheraton on the Park, Sydney. Yay or Nay?

We are considering staying at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney this June. Has anyone stayed there? If so, would you go back? The location looks nice, but then we've stayed in places that looked nice only to have pounding construction going on next door! There are sooo many choices, it's mind blowing! Thanks!

Have you checked reviews on www.tripadvisor.com?

Checked it out and there were no really recent posts. I guess I believe "Fodorites" opinions are always the most reliable!

Certainly a Yay from us - we have stayed there many times - the last this past weekend. Always find it to be excellent - nice rooms, spotlessly clean - friendly efficient staff and no construction in the area at present!
The location in the centre of the CBD is very good - and if you can get a room on the top floors there is a wonderful view of the harbour.
There have been some very lukewarm revues on trip advisor which always surprise me as we certainly have never had any problems in the ten or so years we have stayed there.

Thank you, prue. I sometimes wonder if the competition posts nasty things to sway possible customers in their own direction! Nothing surprises me anymore!

It's a great hotel; I use it quite often. Good gym, fabulous "Day spa".
Ask for a room/suite overlooking Hyde Park.
