Can someone recommend Sea Kayak rental companies and tours in the following areas:
1. Melbourne-Yarra River
2. Sydney - Harbor
3. Jervis Bay
4. Port Douglas
5. Hayman
and if you have first hand experience.

Thanks

Raging Thunder do a sea-kayaking day trip at Fitzroy Island, off Cairns. There's also a 2 day 1 night kayaking trip to Snapper Island - 2km from mouth of Daintree River with accommodation at Crocodylus Village (budget).

In sydney:

sydney sea kayaks run a morning middle harbour trip from the spit.Makes a good day...am kayak and then do the spit to manly walk...drinks and dinner in manly then ferry back to the city.

I have no idea on your requirements for accommodation but
lots kayaks in pittwater
stay at the pittwater youth hostel..feed the wallabies, possums birds etc in the kuringai national park
next day get a kayak from the hostel and paddle up pittwater to palmy or flint and steel or the the basin or even across broken bay to pearl beach.Land on the beach on lion island. The real sydney experience!

Hi.
John, well said for a "one-eyed" Sydneyite
Of course there is kayaking on the Yarra, and many other places in Vic.
Just do a search on www.google.com.au

Here for a starter:

Cheers and have a Good New Year everyone,
