Reputable Jewelry Store In Sydney
Hello
I am looking for a reputable jewelry store in Sydney. I will be visiting from the U.S.A and wanted to bring back my significant other (female) something very special from my trip.
Also, would there be any items that can only be found in Australia that I may consider?
Thank you!

There are several top class Jewellers in the Sydney CBD - Percy Marks - Elizabeth Street, Hardy Bros - Castlereagh Street and Cartier - also in Castlereagh Street would be my pick of the top and they charge accodingly!.
On the next level would be Angus & Coote in the Pitt Street Mall and Prouds also in Pitt Street.
As well as those I have mentioned there are a myriad of other such stores and I am sure there will other suggestions from Sydney fodorites.
Australian Opals are unique - and you will find them in many of the jewellery stores.

If you really truly value your someone special, in my mind and argyle pink diamond would do the trick. ooals are indeed nice, but those pink diamonds ... I'm obsessed!
Check out Castlereagh St for higher-end jewellers - my fave is Makers Mark (http://www.makersmark.com.au/). Cerrone is also good (www.cerrone.com.au)
Another place that would be worth a look if you're looking for something unique would be Jan Logan (shop in Double Bay), have a look at the website http://www.janlogan.com.au . She has some beautiful pieces and they're worn by lots of pretty and famous people.

When our house was burgled a few years ago the cop who attended told me that if he had his way he'd close down every Cash Converters store in Australia - that's where a lot of stolen goods end up, irrespective of the company's stated policy.
